Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and flyovers.devcovering flyovers.dev, the Flyovers GitHub App, and everything they produce. Using Flyovers means accepting them.

1. What Flyovers does

Flyovers reads a pull request and generates a video walkthrough of it: diagrams, chapters and narration describing what changed. The diff is for AI. The flyover is for you.

2. Your account

You need an account to connect a repository. Keep your credentials secure; you are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and if you are using Flyovers for an organization, you confirm you are authorized to bind it to these terms.

3. Access to your code, and the authority to grant it

Installing the GitHub App grants us permission to read the repositories you select, for the purpose of generating flyovers for you. You keep every right in your code; we claim none.

You confirm that you have the right to grant that access. Installing Flyovers on a repository containing someone else’s code (a client’s work, code under an NDA, code your employer owns) is a promise you are making on their behalf, and it has to be yours to make. Generating a flyover sends that code to the third-party services listed in our Privacy Policy, and you should read that list before connecting anything you do not own outright.

You grant us a limited licence to process your code solely to produce flyovers for you, and to store the resulting videos so we can serve them back. That licence ends when you delete the material or close your account. We do not use your code to train models, and we do not use it to serve anyone else.

4. The videos belong to you

As between you and us, you own the flyovers generated from your code, and may use and share them freely. Bear in mind that a flyover describes your code and may quote it: sharing one publicly discloses whatever it contains.

5. Accuracy

Flyovers are generated by language models. They will sometimes be wrong, incomplete, or confidently misleading. A flyover is not a substitute for reading the diff, for code review, or for a security assessment. Do not rely on one as the sole basis for merging, shipping or any other decision that matters.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Connect repositories you have no right to share with us
• Use Flyovers to break the law, infringe rights, or handle material you are barred from disclosing
• Attempt to extract, reverse engineer or resell the service, or to circumvent usage limits
• Interfere with the service, or with anyone else’s use of it

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches this section, and will try to tell you why.

7. Plans and billing

• The free tier includes 3 flyovers, given once when you create an account; they do not expire. We may also give you further flyovers from time to time, and those do not expire either. Paid plans start at $29 per month, which includes 50 flyovers a month. Further flyovers can be bought in advance as credit packs at $1 each, and purchased credits do not expire. A flyover that finishes without its video does not count against the allowance.
• Subscriptions renew automatically each month until you cancel. Payment is taken through Polar, which is the merchant of record.
• You can cancel at any time from your dashboard. Cancelling stops the next renewal; access continues to the end of the period you have paid for.
• Fees are not refundable except where the law requires it, or where we have clearly failed to deliver.
• We will give notice before a price change, and it will never apply retroactively.

8. Third-party services

Flyovers depends on GitHub, on model providers and on the other services named in our Privacy Policy. Their outages, changes and terms affect what we can deliver, and we are not responsible for their conduct.

9. Availability

We do not promise uptime. We may change, suspend or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service outright, we will give reasonable notice and a way to retrieve your flyovers.

10. Ending it

You can stop at any time by uninstalling the GitHub App and closing your account. We may terminate for breach of these terms, for non-payment, or if we stop operating. On termination your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimer

Flyovers is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that output will be accurate. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they apply to the extent permitted.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, flyovers.dev is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars.

13. Indemnity

You will indemnify flyovers.dev against claims arising from your use of Flyovers, from your breach of these terms, or from your connecting repositories you lacked the right to share.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, posting the new version here with a new effective date. For material changes we will notify account holders. Continuing to use Flyovers after a change means accepting it.
